eDOC Innovations Alert – CISA Emergency Director ED 25-03
The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) recently shared information on vulnerabilities for Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA). eDOC Innovations does not use any of the products or services affected by these vulnerabilities. As such, there is no impact to services or interactions between eDOC Innovations and your credit union.

In October 2025, TriVerity Infrastructure Migration to Azure, Migration Timeline and Approach
• Phased Rollout: The migration will occur in stages over the coming weeks, with full completion anticipated by October 1, 2025. Groups of employees and financial institutions (FIs) will be transitioned accordingly. * Confirmed w/vendor this was successful and completed on schedule.
Direct Memory Access (DMA) attacks
In October 2025, OCCU was made aware of the new Direct Memory Access (DMA) Attacks on NCR ATLEOS ATMs. This does NOT affect OCCU as we do not have any of this brand of ATMs. We advise members, at this time, do NOT use any foreign ATMs of this brand.

In September 2025, in coordination with CU*South Network Services, OCCU replaced its old Dell OptiPlex 3070 GWEEP (Windows 10) with a new Dell Micro GWEEP (Windows 11). This keeps OCCU updated with the latest security giving our members’ peace of mind.

In September 2025, after 6-7 months of vetting and negotiating, 7 weeks of onboarding and beta testing, OCCU went LIVE with Crypto “Digital” Investments for its members using the award-winning InvestiFi vendor. (OCCU was the 1st CU in the State of Florida to contract with InvestiFi. OCCU was the 1st CU in the nation to onboard with InvestiFi in just 7 weeks vs the standard 8 weeks. – Thanks to OCCU & InvestiFi Teams.) This project began in February 2025.

In August 2025, Mastercard Connect updated its website to include Access Manager where financial institution admins can reset other staff’s passwords. This is a huge improvement over prior system of having to call in for password resets.
In August 2025, OCCU is Beta Testing for our check’s vendor, MainStreet, to place tracking on the most ordered check product. This is an additional $2.30 cost to OCCU, however will be re-imbursed at the end of the monthly trial. MainStreet, like many other vendors, are having issues with mail delivers all over the country.
The move to CPI’s new secure card facility in Fort Wayne is officially underway, with a team successfully running daytime production. This marks an important step forward in delivering the next level of quality, efficiency, and innovation.

In August 2025, Our Debit Card Processing Vendor, CPI, announce the moving to a new facility with double the space to support our members. This is a new Modern facility with latest techonlogy in producing our members debit cards.
In August 2025, QRL Financial Services converted over from Mortgage Director to TPO Connect as this is the new system for QRL Financial Services Clients to submit their Mortgage Applicaitons. “This upgrade is part of our continued commitment to improving your experience with QRL—offering faster access, enhanced pipeline visibility, and a more intuitive interface.” per QRL.
FINCEN NOTICE
The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) recently issued a notice (FIN-2025-NTC1) urging financial institutions to watch out for and report any suspicious activity involving convertible virtual currency (CVC) kiosks. CVC kiosks – also known as “crypto ATMs” or “Bitcoin ATMs” – allow customers to exchange government-issued currency (fiat) for cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin).
In August 2025, FINCEN put out the above notice to financial institutions to alert them on Crypto/Bitcoin ATM Scams. OCCU does NOT have these type of ATMs and therefore this does NOT affect us other than a member choosing to use one of these foriegn ATMs. – Therefore we placed a notification bar on top of our website keeping our members informed of this risk. Again, OCCU is safe & sound since 1953.
In August 2025, One of Google’s corporate Salesforce instances was affected by an event as described in this Google Threat Intelligence Group blog post. The threat actor had unauthorized access to this Salesforce instance for a short period of time but no access to Google systems. OCCU does not advertise through Google, therefore we are not affected. Again, OCCU is safe & sound since 1953.
In August 2025, SonicWALL recently published a Security Advisory related to Gen 7 and newer firewalls with SSLVPN enabled. Our vendor, CU*South Network Services has taken steps to increase security of our Network addressing this new Security Advisory. Again, OCCU is safe & sound since 1953.
In August 2025, SWBC announced a minor conversion error while merging in our A2A Vendor (ACH), Magic-Writer in July. No member’s data was compromised or exposed during this error. SWBC is just providing us complete transparency. Again, OCCU is safe & sound since 1953.
In July 2025, after years in the works, CU*South rolled out CBX for Ocala Community Credit Union. This is our new core database replacing CU*Base-Gold Edition. Fortunately, OCCU staff are able to run both the old and the new at the same time until they sunset CU*Base-Gold Edition this December 2025. (Note: this was FREE to CUSO Partners like us.)

In June 2025, OCCU signed up with Corporate America’s SimpliCD now that we no longer have to pay safekeeping fees with them. This is another avenue for Ocala Community Credit Union to earn income. Thank you, Tanya, for assisting with this process. (This project took 1 month to complete – or 13yrs if you ask Tanya as she’s been working us for this business since 2012.)
In June 2025, OCCU renewed another 7 years for MasterCard Debit Cards with assistance from our SHAZAM Representative, Nastassia. (This project took 1 month to complete.)
In June 2025, after many attempts to call Crystal River Water, we finally got through and scheduled for our rented Water Cooler to be replaced with newer working model. Their primary company, PRIMO, delivered a new modern style water cooler as shown above. Since it’s rented, there’s no additional cost for this replacement. (The old-fashioned style water cooler can be seen below in May 2025, which was new back in 2019.)
In June 2025, OCCU took advantage of a special offer from McQueen Financial Advisors to offset our Employee Benefits Expenses with a very attractive rate of return. This EBAP provides OCCU with another avenue of income. For the security of our members’ money, we took the conservative approach with less risk, however also with less rate of return. – Still better than what we could find elsewhere. (This project took 3 months to complete.)
In May 2025, OCCU took advantage of Corporate America’s special offer that provides a Win for them, a Win – Win for OCCU. Agreement is confidential; however, Board of Directors and President/CEO see it as a benefit to the credit union now and even more so in September 2025. (This project took 3 months to complete.)
In May 2025, OCCU received our shipment of Ducks for staff to hand out to members, or potential members, driving Jeeps. (This idea came from our newest employee, Loan Processor Brianna.)

In May 2025, Corporate America converted/enhanced it’s ACH & Wire Databases which required training for all staff involved in these two areas. Note: Corporate America is keeping the Fedwire Application Interface Manual (FAIM) for now. Later this year they will convert to the new/upcoming required format of ISO20022. In addition, Corporate America is now inputting 2024 data into the new database and will retain all information for (7) seven years. YES! No more relying on manual process of doing quarterly downloads. 🙂 We, OCCU, discovered that the handoff of a wire going out from OCCU to Corporate America and released is moving much faster than in past. WOW!
In May 2025, the National Credit Union Association (NCUA) issued a Cybersecurity Alert reporting that the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) on Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) data demonstrates that timely patch management and remediation is not occurring. – Ocala Community Credit Union reached out to its Network Services (IT) Vendor, CU*South, and confirmed OCCU is not one of the 39 financial entities vulnerable to these 16 newly listed CVE’s. Again, OCCU is safe & sound since 1953.
In April 2025, Members and Guest attending OCCU’s Annual Membership Meeting were greeted with new technology in America. OCCU’s NFC Pens (Smart Pens) that come pre-programmed with any webpage/link so when the user taps the pen gently to their smartphones, they have a pop up that takes them directly to Ocala Community Credit Union’s website. Fast Flux: A National Security Threat
In April 2025, it was reported that there was this new National Security Threat and OCCU reached out to our Network Services vendor to ensure we are protected from such threat, which we were not. After a few days we got this (Additional Security Software Installed) completed before Good Friday. In addition, OCCU reached out to its Cyber Security Auditors to ensure they will be checking for this going forward. (Click on above heading to learn more.) Again, OCCU is safe & sound since 1953.
In April 2025, OCCU had the above banner/post on the front page of our website keeping our members, and potential members, informed that we are not affected by this ATM Vendor shut down. Again, OCCU is safe & sound since 1953.
In April 2025, OCCU took down this banner/post we had up in March, and half of April, welcoming the Insight CU Members since Insight closed their last branch in Marion County, FL on February 28th. In addition, we had a temporary sign out front, and a radio advertisement, extending the same WELCOME.
In March 2025, FIS added Multi Factor Authentication for Single Sign on Payments One Credit (P1C) in compliance with (PCI DDS 4.0.1), however currently only working for one employee. (From FIS: Not all users have received new access credentials. All users should receive their access by mid-April.) ***Update 06-03-2025: President/CEO finally got his MFA today!
In March 2025, OCCU, along with Absolute Financial Services, and SHAZAM, have completed the TR-31 mandated upgrade to the Ocala International Airport ATM. This was our 3rd and final active ATM in our community that needed this update. All complete! This update prevents users w/out CHIP cards from using our ATMs, thus adding an extra layer of security for OCCU and its members. Again, OCCU is Safe & Sound since 1953.
In March 2025, OCCU, in working with the City of Ocala, has the ATM letters on the new awning so folks can see it from a distance. (This is the awning that was replaced in February as shown below.)
In March 2025, OCCU updated this Triton ARGO ATM @ the Ocala Citizen’s Center with the new mandated TR-31 security software. This was scheduled/coordinated through our vendors, Absolute Financial Services, and SHAZAM. This update prevents users w/out CHIP cards from using our ATMs, thus adding an extra layer of security for OCCU and its members. (We have only 1 ATM left for this mandated software update and that is our ATM at the Ocala International Airport, of which we did a slight software upgrade today in prepping for TR-31 software.) Again, OCCU is Safe & Sound since 1953.
In February 2025, OCCU’s vendor VisonTek came in on a Sunday to install the newer sturdy IT shelf to meet the Cyber Security Auditors’ requirements of keeping the hardware equipment at least 3″ above/off the floor. Now, we have both the N:drive and the Battery Back Up off the floor. (This replaced the temporary shelf installed in January 2025 as shown below.)
In February 2025, OCCU & City of Ocala worked together to replace the cut Awning over the ATM at the Citizen’s Center. Letters will be added in near future. Original Awning added in February 2014 as shown in that month/year.

In January 2025, OCCU upgraded the work cell phone from iPhone 7 (LEFT) to iPhone 16Pro (RIGHT). Unfortunately, we still do NOT have 5G service with this new phone on Verizon Network.
In January 2025, OCCU had these 13year old HVAC Units repaired with either new heating strips or jumping wires to ensure our heaters were working for our staff and members. Similar repairs were made in January 2024 to one or more of these units as recorded on that page.

In January 2025, OCCU’s Network Services Vendor, CU*South, changed out our Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware software with new Datto EDR to be in compliance with our Cyber Security Audits. (This is a HUGE improvement over our old software.) Again, OCCU is Safe & Sound since 1953.
In January 2025, OCCU’s vendor, CU*South Network Services, installed patches to secure our network from the following vulnerabilities, SonicOS Post-Authentication Vulnerabilities. (This is an updated security measure to what we put in place back in September 2024.)

In January 2025, OCCU took a shelf from old Marion Oaks IT Cage and installed in bottom of Main Office IT Cage to get our stuff at least 3″ off the floor inside the rack. (Photos: L = Old/On Floor, R = New Rack above 3″ off the floor.) Unfortunately, this shelf is not sturdy enough to hold the Battery Back Up so that will be delt with in near future.
In January 2025, OCCU replaced its Cash Advance Machine through FIS/WorldPay as our old machines were end of life. This was an unexpected expense as FIS/WorldPay failed to inform us every time we called asking why our Cash Advance Machines weren’t working. Finally got someone on the phone that knew what they were doing and advised us these can no longer be updated and must be replaced at OCCU’s expense. (This new machine is wireless, contactless, chip enabled, magnetic enabled, and touch screen – Huge Improvement over our older models.)
In January 2025, SHAZAM updated their Debit Card Dispute Resolution Services Database, which our staff are pleased with the simplicity of it.
In January 2025, OCCU’s website was down on the morning of 01-02-2024 for approximately 5hrs. This was due to an issue at Word Press, our vendor’s software. An e-Blast was sent to membership keeping them informed of their options such as Visiting Office, using OcalaCCU App, and CU*Talk (Telephone Teller).
