In addition, Corporate America is now inputting 2024 data into the new database and will retain all information for (7) seven years. YES! No more relying on manual process of doing quarterly downloads. 🙂 We, OCCU, discovered that the handoff of wire going out from OCCU to Corporate America and released is moving much faster than in past. WOW!
In May 2025, the National Credit Union Association (NCUA) issued a Cybersecurity Alert reporting that the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) on Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) data demonstrates that timely patch management and remediation is not occurring. – Ocala Community Credit Union reached out to its Network Services (IT) Vendor, CU*South, and confirmed OCCU is not one of the 39 financial entities vulnerable to these 16 newly listed CVE’s. Again, OCCU is safe & sound since 1953.
In April 2025, Members and Guest attending OCCU’s Annual Membership Meeting were greeted with new technology in America. Welcome to the future, Welcome to OCCU!

Fast Flux: A National Security Threat
In April 2025, it was reported that there was this new National Security Threat and OCCU reached out to our Network Services vendor to ensure we are protected from such threat, which we were not. After a few days we got this (Additional Security Software Installed) completed before Good Friday. This was our 3rd and final active ATM in our community that needed this update. All complete! In March 2025, OCCU, in working with the City of Ocala, has the ATM letters on the new awning so folks can see it from a distance. (This is the awning that was replaced in February as shown below.)
In March 2025, OCCU updated this Triton ARGO ATM @ the Ocala Citizen’s Center with the new mandated TR-31 security software. This was scheduled/coordinated through our vendors, Absolute Financial Services, and SHAZAM. This update prevents users w/out CHIP cards from using our ATMs, thus adding an extra layer of security for OCCU and its members. (We have only 1 ATM left for this mandated software update and that is our ATM at the Ocala International Airport, of which we did a slight software upgrade today in prepping for TR-31 software.) Again, OCCU is Safe & Sound since 1953.
In February 2025, OCCU’s vendor VisonTek came in on a Sunday to install the newer sturdy IT shelf to meet the Cyber Security Auditors’ requirements of keeping the hardware equipment at least 3″ above/off the floor. Again, OCCU is Safe & Sound since 1953.

In January 2025, OCCU replaced its Cash Advance Machine through FIS/WorldPay as our old machines were end of life. This was an unexpected expense as FIS/WorldPay failed to inform us every time we called asking why our Cash Advance Machines weren’t working. Finally got someone on the phone that knew what they were doing and advised us these can no longer be updated and must be replaced at OCCU’s expense. (This new machine is wireless, contactless, chip enabled, magnetic enabled, and touch screen – Huge Improvement over our older models.)
In January 2025, SHAZAM updated their Debit Card Dispute Resolution Services Database, which our staff are pleased with the simplicity of it.

An e-Blast was sent to membership keeping them informed of their options such as Visiting Office, using OcalaCCU App, and CU*Talk (Telephone Teller).
