In January 2025, OCCU’s vendor, CU*South Network Services, installed patches to secure our network from the following vulnerabilities, SonicOS Post-Authentication Vulnerabilities. (This is an updated security measure to what we put in place back in September 2024.)
Again, OCCU is Safe & Sound since 1953.
In January 2025, OCCU took a rack from old Marion Oaks IT Cage and installed in bottom of Main Office IT Cage to please the Cyber Security Auditors in getting our stuff at least 3″ off the floor inside the rack. (Photos: L = Old/On Floor, R = New Rack above 3″ off the floor.)
In January 2025, OCCU replaced its Cash Advance Machine through FIS/WorldPay as our old machines were end of life. This was an unexpected expense as FIS/WorldPay failed to inform us every time we called asking why our Cash Advance Machines weren’t working. Finally got someone on the phone that knew what they were doing and advised us these can no longer be updated and must be replaced at OCCU’s expense. (This new machine is wireless, contactless, chip enabled, magnetic enabled, and touch screen – Huge Improvement over our older models.)
In January 2025, SHAZAM updated their Debit Card Dispute Resolution Services Database, which our staff are pleased with the simplicity of it.
In January 2025, OCCU’s website was down on the morning of 01-02-2024 for approximately 5hrs. This was due to an issue at Word Press, our vendor’s software. An e-Blast was sent to membership keeping them informed of their options such as Visiting Office, using OcalaCCU App, and CU*Talk (Telephone Teller).
