In December 2019, OCCU’s member Jacqueline Rojas announces her engaged to James Marshall and have set a wedding date in April 2020. In November 2019, OCCU is pleased to announce the engagement of Elizabeth, OCCU’s Operations Supervisor, to Kody, Marion County Board of Commissioner’s IT Dept. Congratulations!
In November 2019, OCCU Members brought in canned goods as OCCU is accepting donations to feed the less fortunate. (Both Main Office & Marion Oaks Branch)
In November 2019, OCCU Member Annie brought in self handmade flowers for employee Shelbi to show her appreciation for her friendly member service.
In November 2019, OCCU Welcomed O’Reilly Auto Parts to the Shores. This is a beautiful store with a clean layout where you can find what you need.
In November 2019, OCCU Welcomed TEXAS Roadhouse to Ocala, Florida. This restaurant is located by the Paddock Mall.
In November 2019, OCCU Welcomed RaceTac to downtown Ocala, Florida. RaceTrac beautified this corner of Downtown Ocala.
In November 2019, OCCU’s Mortgage & Consumer Loan officer Diane greeted City of Ocala Employees at their Annual Health Fair. OCCU donated money to support the City of Ocala’s Employee Raffle.

In October 2019, OCCU replaced the old flag destroyed by Hurricane Dorian with this new/larger “Made In Ocala” Flag. New Nickel Clips were replaced as well due to Hurricane Dorians destruction of our old metal clips. Thank you, Freedom Flag of Ocala.
In October 2019, OCCU Welcomes Two Men And A Truck to our Marion Oaks Community. This is their new facility serving all of Marion County, Florida.
In October 2019, OCCU Welcomes new BANK STREET to downtown Ocala, FL. This is open to the public for casual food and drinks. Some sections are either for 18 and older, or can be reserved for Private Parties.
In October 2019, OCCU Welcomes new RC Hill Mitsubishi Dealership to Ocala, Florida. This is just in time for OCCU’s November 2019 Auto Loan Promotion w/special low rates.
In October 2019, OCCU Welcomes Wawa to Belleview, Florida. This provides OCCU members with an additional ATM to use Surcharge Free. (Now, OCCU members have two ATM locations in Belleview, FL to use Surcharge FREE.)
September, 2019
Please join OCCU in congratulating our member Billy Terry as he graduated from Crossover Deputy Training and took home the honor of Top of his Class. Billy is the grandson of OCCU’s Mortgage & Consumer Loan Officer Diane Guinn. (Yes, you can find Billy Terry under this same Community Page back in November, 2017 when he graduated with honors from Corrections Academy Class #284).

August, 2019
In August 2019, OCCU donated 2 Cases of Cups to the 6th Annual Clyde Stanley Hospice Fundraiser. This two day event was open to the public, 11-02-2019 and 11-03-2019. OCCU is PROUD to support Hospice of Marion County.
In August, 2019, OCCU Welcomes Ocala Health ER to the Southeast Side of Ocala, Florida. (Advent Health Ocala, & Summerfield Employees are welcome to join OCCU as they are eligible for membership.)
In August, 2019, OCCU staff participated in 93.7 K-Country’s 2nd Annnual Outdoor Expo. OCCU had a drawing for (4) four $25.00 Rural King Gift Cards. Winners did NOT have to be present to win. August, 2019, OCCU delivered Dunkin Donuts, Bagels, & Cream Cheese to the Faculty & Staff of Maplewood Elementary School as showing our support to our community and the hard work they do all year. (This gave the President/CEO Steven, and the Mortgage/Consumer Loan Officer Diane, a chance to speak for 5-10mins. on the benefits of OCCU.)
August, 2019, OCCU dropped off School Supply Donations to the above schools. Thanks to the members of OCCU that donated to support our community. These donations were much appreciated by these schools.

In July, 2019, OCCU donated collected food items from our members to the Humane Society of Marion County. Members brought in their donated items throughout the month of June. Shown above, is Diane of our Loan Department.

In May, 2019, OCCU had it’s 65th Annual Membership Meeting. Above photos capture this event as we had another great year of membership turn out. This year, Marion Oaks Branch Manager, Vicky, gave members an update on how successful this branch is doing and introduced staff. Door Prizes were given away thanks to our many vendor donations, department store donations, and OCCU cash. In addition, OCCU had a pinning ceremony for (2) two of it’s employees completing five years of service to your credit union. (Cynthia, & Elizabeth) We accepted the plaque of appreciation from the SEYF Ambassador. Food was enjoyed by all.
In May, 2019, member Mr. Robinson delivered HUGE Watermelons from South Florida. (Yes, larger than the watermelons grown in Central Florida.)
May 2019, Meet OCCU’s newest employee, Dulcina. She is a teller at our Main Office.
In May, 2019, OCCU sponsored member Frank Mannino in Ride for the Arts as he wore our logo on his biking uniform during this race.
April, 2019
In April, 2019, OCCU sponsored Voices For Children a non-profit organization providing help to abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Marion County. Voices provides funding for clothing, shoes, furniture, evaluations, holiday gifts, and etc.
In April, 2019, Employee Diane Guinn was seen wearing OCCU’s colors on her freshly painted finger nails.
March 2019
In March, 2019, OCCU welcomes Domino’s Pizza to the Marion Oaks Community. This is a full size Domino’s Pizza Restaurant with sit in dinning, carry out, and delivery.
In March, 2019, U.S. Congressman Daniel Webster of the 11th District, Florida, and two members of his staff visits Ocala Community Credit Union’s new Marion Oaks Branch in appreciation of OCCU opening this location to provide service to the Marion Oaks Community. In February, 2019, OCCU’s Member, Mr. Diehl expanded his Racing Karts as now he has two (one for different race tracks). This saves him from having to modify the original kart for the different tracks. OCCU sponsors w/providing him the OCCU decals as they match his racing kart(s).
In February, 2019, OCCU’s Head Teller, Cathy Rodriguez, represented the credit union at the SEYF – Swine Awards as we are the annual Silver Sponsor for all Swine Events.

January 2019
In January, 2019, OCCU’s Marion Oaks Branch celebrated it’s grand opening with a CEP-Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on 22nd of this month. (See Photos Above) Food, Drinks, Cake, and Gifts were enjoyed by all.
