Ocala Community Credit Union did a food drive using our main office lobby as a drop off point. This food drive was coordinated by OCCU Member Nick through Vanguard High School’s Key Club, which is associated with the Kiwanis Club.

Ocala Community Credit Union celebrated “International Credit Union Day” with baking cookies and brewing fresh coffee for our members. In addition, the employees were treated to a Bagel & Donut breakfast from Dunkin Donuts.
Ocala Community Credit Union attended the YMCA’s Sponsor Appreciation Day at Frank Deluca YMCA. We raffled off a MICHAEL KORS gym bag (Blanch Smith = Winner), and a $25.00 Visa Gift Card. In addition, folks got to meet and greet Diane Guinn and Kiah Pfeffer of OCCU as they gave out water bottles and key chains that doubled as a bottle openers.
Ocala Community Credit Union enjoyed hosting “Coffee with a Cop” on October 14, 2016 from 9:00 – 12:noon. Officer Barry was on hand as the primary officer giving out gifts from the Ocala PD. Everyone enjoyed the coffee and fresh baked cookies provided by Ocala Community Credit Union.

On September 22, 2016, Ocala Community Credit Union and Capital Mortgage Funding presented a Mortgage Seminar for our area communities. This was a great hit and we plan to offer again in the future. John H. Teweles, Senior Vice President and Director, Institutional Lending was our key-note speaker at this event. John has 32 years in this industry and gave us updates on the various regulations. He stayed behind to answer member’s questions. In addition, John did a drawing for a $50.00 gift card that was won by Dr. Wilson.

Ocala Community Credit Union donated in memory of Barry Kirschenpfad, who’s son is soon to be son-in law of employee Rosa Sandoval. Barry died suddenly from a massive heart-attack just prior to this wedding. Barry was the sole provider for his family (wife and six children).
